Customer service is PATHETIC! Leave messages and don't get return calls. Get passed around from 1 rep to the other. I would never do business with this company
Horrible experience. I had a sewage waste water emergency they could not get a plumber within the 24 hours (which is what they commit to) they authorized me to find my own plumber. There were feces and urine everywhere in my basement bathroom and main room and I couldn't get it cleaned-up until the pipe issue was resolved. Keep in mind I am pregnant and have a toddler at home who uses the basement as his play area (all of this toys and stuff are there). There are several health risks associated with this situation. I waited for Weichert Home Insurance to find a plumber and at the last minute they told me they couldn't so I spent several hours trying to find someone myself. THEY ASSURED ME I WOULD GET REIMBURSED, both before the work was done and after. To make the long story short, now they claim i never received authorization and they do not want to reimburse me. I've requested they share with me a copy of the notes as well as a copy of the call recordings, I hope I can receive this soon so i can follow-up and get reimbursed.

of calling this office prepare to be on hold for the entire evening only to be connected to someone incompetent who will pass the buck to someone else and do nothing to resolve the situation. These people are sub human and the insurance they peddle is a racket, ive had them for three years. three years too long.
I bought a new car in NYS and couldn't get insurance is cards starting the same day OR get anyone on the phone for hours.
What I find terribly frustrating is that they LIE TO THE CUSTOMER. Before paying for the repair myself ($640) I was VERY clear with my questions regarding reimbursement and they confirmed they would. Then, when I call to ask where I can mail the receipt in order to get reimbursed they inform me that I needed an authorization number (an important point they did not disclose early on) and that they would not reimburse me. If I pay for a service and I don't get it (finding a plumber within 24 hours) and I put in my own effort and time to find one myself, I should not be punished. I was thinking to renew my contract with them and would have recommended them to others in the past - now I definitely won't. I feel they cheated, lied and are taking advantage of their position. Very disappointing.
Their insurance agency is very unorganized and actually very scary. I canceled my home policy for a different rate and package with a different company. Not for any other reason. Turns out, I'm glad I left. They used my signed cancaltion form to cancel another person's policy. Scary. I still have not resolved this issue, and I haven't received my refund. Stay away from the insurance side of Weichert.
